Computerized simulations are then performed in the stage leading up to product development - e.g. gear contact simulation and strength computations using the finite element method. Then, following rigorous testing the products are optimized for functionality and strength.

Characteristic of the vast innovative potential, the engineering and production capavility are the development and production of the final drive on the world's biggest hydraulic excavator, an 900 t heavyweight. Thanks to its modular design, it proved possible to engineer ready for production the four-stage planetary gear unit within only 11 month.
